
Jubilee Academy Guidelines

Jubilee Academy, the Church School of Jubilee Ministry, enrolls and coordinates students in home education. The Academy is under the supervision of the Director, the Board, and the officers of Jubilee. The Academy year starts in September and ends the following August, divided into four quarters. The first three comprise the normal academic year. Use of the fourth quarter is optional.
A packet will be issued at the time of enrollment containing the necessary paperwork.
Tuition ($25.00 per month) may be paid by the month, quarter, or year. ($25.00 discount for yearly payment). At the end of the year, the permanent record card with the curriculum/resource list on the back must filled out and sent in to the Academy to kept on file.
**Your enrollment may be terminated at any time reports and/or tuition is 30 days past due. Course and Curriculum: The Academy has no required “standard” curriculum. The course or materials that are used are solely the responsibility of the individual parent/teacher. However, each one will be given a copy of the Graduation Exam Outline which details areas of expected proficiency. If the student is planning to take this examination, these areas should be thoroughly covered. From time to time various classes are scheduled. Notification will be given as to course, date, time, cost, and appropriate ages. Grades, Credits, Graduation: Using Pass (P) / Fail (F) for younger students is acceptable. A letter or number grade is required for students ages 10 & older.The grading scale is as follows: A - 100 - 90 / B - 89 – 80 / C - 79 – 70 / D - 69 – 65 / F- 64 & below. High School credits will be given to students upon the completion of a specific course during a quarter or completion of an academic year in a specific subject. (Any high school level course intended to be included on a transcript should be so noted.) In order to graduate from Jubilee Academy with a high school diploma, a passing score (noted below) must be made on your choice of one of the following tests: Jubilee Graduation Exam – 235 or above / the ACT – 19 or above / the SAT - 900 or above. All tests may be taken more than once to achieve the required score. Traditionally, graduate recognition is held at pre-enrollment. Meetings & Attendance: The first meeting, The Jubilee Academy Teacher's Conference, is a mandatory meeting held the 1st Monday night of October at 7:00 p.m. at the Liberty Center. Subsequent meetings, informal gatherings, and field trips will be announced on a quarterly basis. |
